MULTIPHASE FLOWS
 

The course deals with selected topics on multiphase flow and its application in the design of piping and other process equipment. Emphasis is placed on the basic characteristics of gas/liquid two-phase flow. The basic areas covered are:

     Multi-phase flow fundamentals - Basic equations of homogeneous two-phase gas/liquid flow

     Flow regimes (e.g. stratified, annular, slug and bubbly flow).

     Estimation of two phase flow parameters (e.g. pressure drop, holdup, entrainment).

     Measurements of two-phase flow parameters (e.g. flow regimes, pressure drop, holdup)
